Barbara Ann Frizell, 97, died December 15, 2022, at Wesley Towers Hester Care Center.  She was born June 13, 1925, in Augusta, KS, the daughter of Ralph and Louise (Meeke) Varner.

Barb had a wonderful childhood growing up in Augusta and Wichita.  She was a graduate of Wichita East High School and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1947.

In 1953, Barb married Edward E. 'Bud' Frizell, of Larned, KS, in Wichita.  He died May 29, 2002.

She loved her life and friends in Hutchinson and was an active member of Junior League, PEO Chapter BL, Pi Beta Phi Sorority Alumni, and Grace Episcopal Church.

Barb is survived by:  her sons, Edward E. 'Trip' (Allison) Frizell, Jeff (Karen) Frizell; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her husband, Bud; parents; and sister, Mary Warwick.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson, with Reverend Dr. J. Ted Blakley officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, and Tuesday, December 20, 2022, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.  The casket will remain closed.
