Barbara Jean Berger, 82, died August 16, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born August 29, 1939, in Hutchinson, to Ernest H. "Jack" and Ruth Louise (Pike) Barker.

Barbara was a homemaker, and always started her days off with one can of Pepsi for breakfast.  She enjoyed numerous hobbies and interests such as playing cards and crocheting.  For over 30 years, Barbara enjoyed lunch on Wednesdays with "the girls", and was a lifetime bowler.   She and her late husband, Donald, made many memories with their family and friends at their place on Table Rock Lake, Shell Knob, MO. Devotions were an integral part of Barbara's daily routine, and she spent hours each day reading her Bible.

On February 19, 1963, she married Donald Lee Berger, in Colorado Springs, CO.  He died May 27, 2011, after they shared 48 years of marriage.

Barbara is survived by:  children, Christopher Berger of Enid, OK, and Kimmie Orem of Hutchinson; sister, Betty Schemm (Frank) of Tulsa, OK; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband, Donald; daughter, Kathy Poole; son, Kent Wade Berger; brothers, Buddy and Billy Barker; and a sister, Beverly McGill.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2022, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
