Obituary

Barbara Lee "Bobbie" Ferron, 79, died June 30, 2006, at Good Samaritan, Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Leo and Laree Duley Ferron. She was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Junior College, and Kansas State University. A Hutchinson resident for the past 20 years, moving back from Dallas, she had worked for Cappers Weekly in Topeka before becoming a flight attendant for Braniff International Airlines for 36 years.

She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the International Flight Attendants Union.

Survivors include: two sisters, Betty Joyner, Hutchinson, and Cordelia Brandon, Oklahoma City; several nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Lackey.

Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place, and inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County or to the Hutchinson City Animal Shelter, in care of the mortuary, Hutchinson.
