Barbara J. Miller's Obituary
Barbara Jean Miller, 82, died June 1, 2007, at Hospice House.
She was born Dec. 17, 1924, in St. Joseph, Mo., the daughter of Paul F. and Sidney H. Schuck Smith. She graduated from Kanopolis High School. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker, and had worked for Dillon's and the Hutchinson Recreation Commission.
She belonged to First Presbyterian Church, and was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center.
On Sept. 2, 1944, she married M. Adrian "Whitey" Miller. He died Dec. 1, 2005.
Survivors include: two sons, Jon, and his companion Brent Cummings, Seattle, Wash., and Bill and his wife, Kathy, Dubuque, Iowa; a daughter, Sue Winegardner, Hutchinson; and a grandson, Nicholas Miller, Dubuque, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Smith.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Tim Soule presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
