Barbara Lee 'Barb' Carithers, 83, died September 17, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born October 27, 1936, in Hooker, OK, to Ben and Hazel (Daniels) Bell.

Barb graduated from Hutchinson High School and Salt City Business College, Hutchinson.  She owned Barb's Bail Bonds for over 40 years.  Barb enjoyed bowling, dancing, traveling, and casinos (especially the slot machines).  She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

Barb is survived by:  daughter, Brenda Kowitz of Hutchinson; son, Bobbie Kretzer, Jr., of Lansing; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many loving stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; daughter, Bonnie Galloway; granddaughters, Jacki Scott and Michelle Kretzer; brother, Leroy Bell; and former husband and special friend, Calvin Carithers.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E. 30 ^th , Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating.  Masks and social distancing will be required at the church.  The family will greet friends following her service.  Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
