SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Barbara F. Perry, 78, died April 30, 2006, at Hospice House.
She was born June 9, 1927, in Bridgeport-Wichita, the daughter of L.H. and Susan Burney Merideth. She was a 1945 graduate of Hutchinson High School. A longtime South Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker and a sales clerk in the music department for the former Wiley's Department Store.
She had been active with First Church of God.
On July 31, 1951, she married John R. Perry Jr. in Long Beach, Calif. He died Oct. 15, 1987.
Survivors include: two sons, John Richard and Duane Scott, both of Hutchinson; two daughters, Kristi Bright, Gooseneck, S.C., and Kimberly Shepherd, Hutchinson; a sister, Pauline J. Smith, South Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Craig Dilbeck presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, both at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, in care of the mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
