Obituary

Barbara Jane Ray, 84, died July 23, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Leon, Kan., to Harry O. and Jessie M. Lowe Hamilton.

Barbara retired from Internal Homes and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include: sons, Danny Nichols of Flagstaff, Ariz., James Nichols and wife Janice of Wichita, Kan.; daughters, Sharon Buckner and husband Jesse of Forks, Wash., Linda Hofmeier and husband Ray of Hutchinson, Charlotte Liebelt and husband Randy of Satanta, Kan., Dixie Tipling and husband Paul of Salina, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Faye Baker of Warsaw, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Lou Duncan; and a grandson, Tobin Roe.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
