Barbara Jane Roberts, 92, of Hutchinson, KS passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022.

Barbara was born on October 31, 1929, to William Washington Burris and Lois Hunt. She spent her childhood in the College Hill area of Wichita, KS. After graduating from Wichita East High School, she attended Stephens Girls College and Kansas State University.

She married Charles Roberts on April 6, 1951, in Dodge City, KS. They had two children, David Eric and Anna Jane.

Barbara had many adversities to overcome in her life, but also many adventures. She traveled a great deal, fostering relationships with wonderful people around the world. She also volunteered extensively, helping in schools, universities, hospitals, and churches.

Barbara is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Wesley Towers Evans Chapel, 3709 Asbury Place, Hutchinson, KS.   In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
