Barbara Ruth Wenner, 90, died March 28, 2008, at Hospice House. She was born Sept. 11, 1917, in Senecaville, Ohio, the daughter of Walter C. and Stella E. Hardesty Moorehead. She graduated high school in Senecaville, Ohio.

A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a retired nurses aide at Grace Hospital and St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

On April 17, 1940, she married James P. Wenner in Cambridge, Ohio. He died April 22, 1989.

Survivors include: three sons, James G. (Shirley), Hutchinson, Walter T., Hutchinson, and Gary J., Hutchinson; two daughters, Patricia D. Tinder (Richard), Hutchinson, and Mary E. Felty, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three sisters, her son, David E., who died Aug. 27, 1999, and her daughter, Sheryl Chappel, who died Jan. 3, 1998.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008, in Fairlawn Burial Park, with Pastor Tim Yates presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday March 30, 2008, and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, March 31, 2008, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
