Obituary

Barry B. "Arnery" Arnett, 68, died Sept. 23, 2007 at Hutchinson Hospital.

He was born Jan. 22, l939, in Independence, the son of Charles Cecil and Dorothy Alice Stopher Arnett. He worked for USD 309, the Hutchinson Sports Arena, the Reno County Weed Department and retired from Morton Salt Company.

He belonged to Hutchinson Wesleyan Church, the Moose Lodge No. 982, and the United Steel Workers Union. He served in the U.S. Army.

On July 31, 1964, he married Mary Margaret Trotter in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Robert, Wichita; two daughters, Amy Heath and Mary A. Arnett, both of Hutchinson; a brother, Lanny L., Overland Park; a sister, Dorothy Ann Cobb, Hutchinson; four grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. David Rutler presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, with military graveside rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.

Memorials may be sent to Hutchinson Wesleyan Church or the donor's choice, both in care of the funeral home.
