Barry Neal Becker, 74, died October 1, 2026, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born November 1, 1951, in Beloit, to Charles Herman and Betty Ann (Callis) Becker.

Barry graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1969, before attending Kansas State University. He worked at the City of Hutchinson for many years, in the Public Works Department in administration. Barry was highly intelligent and had a thoughtful way of looking at problems and situations. He enjoyed playing golf at Carey Park and Prairie Dunes Golf Courses; Barry also won in the local City Golf Tournament. He liked to go to the YMCA with his wife, Kay.

On May 1, 1980, Barry married Beverly “Kay” Leonard, in Hutchinson, KS.

He is survived by: his wife of 46 years, Kay Becker; brothers, Tom (Janice) Becker of Pratt; Ted Becker of Wichita; Michael (Sherry) Becker of Iuka; aunt; Effie (John) Strayer, Lisa (Rodney) Schmidt; nieces and nephews, Kellie (David) Pankratz, Jay Self, both of Cheney, Holly Hajjaj of Hesston, Wendi (Todd) Smith of Wichita, Amos Becker of Wichita, Michelle (David) West of Trousdale, Katie Becker of Andover; many great nieces and nephews; and a host of great-great nieces and nephews.

Barry was preceded in death by: his parents; nephews, Michael W. Becker and Karson Becker; and niece, Nicole Becker.

In respect of Barry’s wishes no service will be held and cremation has taken place.
