"Bear" Hubbs, 59, died April 22, 2008, at Hospice House. He was born March 14, 1949, at Sedalia Mo., to Lloyd Dean Sites and Violet Laverne Hubbs Sites.

He was an independent mechanic, farm hand and all around junker.

He was of the Baptist faith.

On March 22, 1980 he married Annette Joletta Teague in Hutchinson. She survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Joletta LeAnn Simmons, of Hutchinson, and he was "Papa" to five grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mike Simmons presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation will follow the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to "Bear" Hubbs Memorial Fund in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
