Beatrice "Bea" Ford, 88, died May 8, 2007, at Hospice House.
She was born April 3, 1919, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Sam C. and Emma L. Dale Smith. A longtime Hutchinson resident, formerly of Wichita, she was a homemaker.
She attended Westbrook Baptist Church.
She married Ray Blankenship. She then married Bill Ford. Both preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Sherburne Blakenship, Marble Falls, Texas, and Ronald Blakenship, Houston; two daughters, Judith Marshall, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Gayle L. Miller, Naples, Fla.; four brothers, Ben Smith, Chattanooga, Tenn., Bill Smith, Hutchinson, Bob Smith, Glendale, Ariz., and Dick Smith, Pflugerville, Texas; a sister, Betty Hettrick, Sun City, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Reynolds and Buster Smith; and a grandchild.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
