Belva J. Foote, 81, died Oct. 18, 2011, in Hutchinson. She was born July 30, 1930, in Arlington, Kan., the daughter of Edd P. and Clella Lee (Potter) Graber.
She graduated from Arlington High School in 1948 and attended Hutchinson Community College. She was a lifetime Hutchinson Reno County resident. Belva worked as a salesclerk for Woolworths, Westlake Hardware and JC Penny's. She then worked for Eaton's and later at Walmart and Target. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose Hutchinson Chapter #1371 and a member of the College of Regents Moose Lodge.
On June 11, 1950, she married Wayne Raymond and to this union were born three children; two daughters, Julene Hurst and husband Willis, Debra Lizalde and husband Alex, all of Hutchinson; a son, Douglas Raymond and wife Mary of North Reading, Mass. She later married Carlon F. Foote on March 25, 1975, in South Hutchinson. He died March 5, 2005. Other survivors include: a sister, LeAnn Brenner and husband Harold of Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren, Anthony and James Rush, Janelle and Joshua Estrella, Michael and Daniel Lizalde, and Bryce and Davis Raymond; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Reverend Tim Ault-Duell presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Burial Park.
