Berneice Marie Kimminau, 90, died April 5, 2011, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Mt. Clare, Neb., the daughter of Henry H. and Lena Ilg Rempe.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hutchinson. Berneice was a farmwife, had worked at Cessna, and had her own housekeeping business.
On Jan. 19, 1943, she married Clem B. Kimminau at Lawrence, Neb. He died Aug. 31, 1967.
Survivors include: four children, Lyle Kimminau and wife Leona of Goodland, Kan., Bernadine "Kim" Kirmer of Hutchinson, Diane Kitson and husband Randy of Oxford, Ga., and Leon Kimminau of Hutchinson; four brothers, Leonard Rempe and wife Lorraine of Superior, Neb., Ray Rempe and wife Lucille of Hastings, Neb., Ed Rempe and wife Joan of Superior, Neb., and Elmer Rempe and wife Maxine of Superior, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Laveta Rempe of Hastings, Neb. and Rita Rempe of Lincoln, Neb.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, Art, John and Al Rempe.
Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011, and funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, both at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Superior, Neb. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in St. Stephens Cemetery, Lawrence, Neb.
