Berneta Lynn Jung, 69, died December 24, 2019, at her home in Inman.  She was born November 21, 1950, in St. John, to Floyd Pershing and Laurel (Martin) Jung.

Berneta graduated from Lyons High School with the Class of 1968, and was a contestant in the Miss Rice County Pageant in 1968.  She was an accomplished pianist, and taught countless youth piano lessons.  Berneta retired as a United States Postal Carrier for Inman.  She was a longtime Inman area resident, and attended Union Valley Bible Church, Hutchinson.

Berneta is survived by:  daughter, Lacy Stucky and husband Jeremy of Forsyth, MO; grandchildren, Bethany and Cody Stucky of Forsyth, MO; brother, Stephen Jung and wife Becky of Nampa, ID; sister, Paula Reazin of Denver, CO; and brother-in-law, Glenn Colberg of Lyons.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; children, Clinton Swafford and Lindsey Swafford; and sister, Sharon Colberg.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at Union Valley Bible Church, 1916 E. 30 ^th , Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating.  Inurnment will follow in North Inman Cemetery.  Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
