Bertha 'Louise' Choat Dicks, 89, of Hutchinson, died August 27, 2018, at Buhler Sunshine Home. She was born July 16, 1929, in Quinton, OK, one of six children to William and Myrtle Choat.
On May 1, 1949, Louise married 'Sonny' Dicks in Hutchinson. They had two daughters, Tanis and Sally. Sonny died Nov. 30, 1986. Louise was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ. She was employed by Hutchinson National Bank and Home State Bank of McPherson during her career. Louise was an artist, creating scenery and portrait oil paintings.
Louise is survived by: daughter, Tanis and husband Dan Williamson, of Smyrna, GA, Dan's sons, Tom, Josh and Adam, grandson, Troy Morrow, great-granddaughter, Chelsea, great-great-grandchildren, Aubree, Charlotte and Isaac, great-grandsons, Evan and Ethen, granddaughter, Debi Pfenninger, great-grandson, Jordan and wife Jenna Pfenninger, great-great-grandson, Luke, great-grandson, Tyler and wife Kayli Pfenninger, and great-great-grandsons, Trityn and Kohyn. Louise's daughter, Sally and husband Dan Osner, of Hutchinson, grandson, Phillip and wife Jessica Osner, and great-grandchildren, Madyson, Lilly and Deacon, granddaughter, Marcy and husband Amit Patel, greatgrandson, Charlie, granddaughter, Holly Patton, and great-grandchildren, Amiee, Jessica, Darian, Erin and Eric, grandson, Paul Patton, and great-grandchildren, Makayla and Amberlie. Louise is also survived by her two sisters, Shirley and Virginia.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; two sisters; and a brother.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, KS, with Wayne DeWindt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Buhler Sunshine Home, Good Shepherd Hospice of Newton, or Eastwood Church of Christ, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS
