Obituary

NICKERSON – Bertha Eliza Moorman, 97, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015. She was born March 23, 1918, in rural Nickerson, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Lickteig) Estabrook.

She was a 1936 graduate of Reno County High School, a member of Salem Community Church of the Brethren and a farm wife.

On Nov. 20, 1937, she married Dean Walter Moorman. He died Sept. 10, 1987. She is survived by: a daughter, Lea Ann Brown and her husband Robert T. of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; two grandsons, Sean Brown of Denver, Colo., and Mark Brown of Tucson, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Floyd Estabrook; and sisters, Lois Welker, Alice Hill and infants, Darlene and Lovina Estabrook.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Keith Dellenbach officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family present 5 to 7 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.
