Bessie Graber's Obituary
PRETTY PRAIRIE - Bessie Graber, 94, died Sept. 2, 2006, at Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie.
She was born April 4, 1912, in Pretty Prairie, the daughter of Jacob G. and Frances Graber Graber. She graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1930. A lifetime Pretty Prairie resident, she was a homemaker and cook at Prairie Sunset Home, 17 years.
She belonged to First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.
On Oct. 20, 1932, she married Lonnie Graber in Pretty Prairie. He died June 11, 1988.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joan Boese, Newton, and Betty Stegall (Cedar), Pretty Prairie; three grandchildren, Brenda Barger (Kyle); Alex and Nathan Stegall; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Brennan, and Caroline Barger.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Duane; three sisters, Ella Krehbiel, Tillie Graber, and Viola Stucky; and a son-in-law, Wayne Boese.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, with Pastor Lester Zook and Loretta Miller presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Prairie Sunset Home, in care of the mortuary, Hutchinson.
