Beth Lorraine Chambers, 86, of Hutchinson, died August 30, 2025, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born September 11, 1938, in Raton, New Mexico, the daughter of  Albert J. and Eunice A. (Rubidoux) Welsh.

After moving to Hutchinson, Beth was a salesclerk at Gibson's and then for many years at Kmart. She then worked at Goodwill until she retired. In her spare time, Beth loved to go dancing. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

On September 29, 1956, Beth married Oscar T. Chambers, in Hutchinson. He died September 18, 1982.

She is survived by: her daughter, Brenda Unruh (Ron) of Plattsburg, MO; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Nickels (Ron) of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Jack McClelland (Shirley) of Hutchinson, Chris Welsh (Barbara) of Topeka, Millard Welsh (Barbara) of Texas; and many extended family members.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jackie Chambers; sister, Patsy Cruz; brothers, Bob Rubidoux, Art Welsh; and her long-time companion, Merle Benton.

Cremation has taken place.

Graveside service will be 12 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with the family present to receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary.
