Obituary

Bette 'Kay' Horse, 75, of Hutchinson, died Friday, January 5, 2018. She was born November 21, 1942, in Wichita, the daughter of Alden Floyd and Ann Zola (Landess) Triplett.

She was a 1960 graduate of Clearwater High School and a member of Medora Community Bible Church. Bette was a designer for Hutchinson Floral.
She was married to Karl D. Bates. He died March 18, 1999. On June 16, 1984, she married Chester Wallace Horse, in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: children, Sonja HuntingHorse of New Mexico, Melanie Wilke and husband Steve of Oklahoma, Trava Hoover and husband Richard of Wichita, Kelly Bates and wife Janet of Clearwater, Melissa Sylvester and husband Geno of Wichita, Matt Bates and wife Kim of Haysville, Karla Carson and husband Craig of Ozark, MO, and Grant Bates and wife Amy of Oak Grove; MO, 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at Medora Community Bible Church, 8311 N. Medora Rd., Hutchinson, with Pastors Ron Mandeville, Wayne Johnson and Jonathan Stewart presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
