Betty Joan Dunn, 86, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, at home, with her family by her side.   She was born October 24, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford William and Ernestine (Cummings) Birket.

Betty was a 1950 graduate of Abbyville High School and attended Abbyville Community Church.  For 26 years, Betty drove a special education bus for Fairfield USD #310.

On July 3, 1954, she married Kenneth Allen Dunn at Abbyville.

Betty is survived by:  her husband of 64 years survives, Kenneth; children, Kelley Lester and Tom Wilson of Arlington, Stacey Baughman and husband Wayne, and Bret and wife Stacey, all of Abbyville; sister, Peg Dunlap of Wichita; grandchildren, Jonathan and fiancée Lori Goode, Krystal and husband Justin, Tyler and wife Amanda, Whitney and husband Mike, Kelcey, and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Cody, Harley, Corbin, Hudson, Izzabella, Sterling, and two on the way.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; son-in-law Larry Lester; brother, Clifford 'Bud' Birket; and brother-in-law, Richard Dunlap.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation with family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Abbyville Community Church. Graveside service will be 9 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Abbyville Cemetery with Pastor Dale Levering presiding. Memorials are suggested to the Abbyville Community Center, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
