Obituary

Betty Rae Herbison, 76, died March 15, 2016, at Hester Care Center. She was born July 27, 1939, in Long Beach, California, to James "Pete" and Nelda Marie (Miller) Herbison.

Betty attended the Olathe School for the Deaf. She worked for Cessna Fluid Power as a drill press/machine operator. She was a member of the Deaf Club and enjoyed fishing, swimming, sunbathing, arts and crafts, watching Lucille Ball movies and scary movies. Betty especially loved her 9 Chihuahuas.

Betty is survived by: sisters, Kathy Leffel (Bud) of Oklahoma City, OK, and Teresa Collier of Hutchinson; brother, Michael Herbison of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Green.Cremation has taken place.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Evans Chapel, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, with Jimie-Wray Mead officiating. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
