Betty J. Herman's Obituary
Betty Jane Herman, 87, died Feb. 15, 2006, at Medicalodge of Goddard.
She was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles E. and Maude Marbaugh Brown. She was a graduate of Hutch-inson High School, and attended Hutchinson Junior College and the University of Iowa. A longtime Hutchinson resident, formerly of McPherson and Lindsborg, she was a homemaker and retired employee of the Department of Labor Census Bureau.
On Jan. 2, 1941, she married Robert W. "Bob" Herman. He died Dec. 18, 2003.
Survivors include: a son, Bradford Keith Herman and his wife, Diana Ketterman, Goddard.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Brown; a sister, Louisa DuBosch; and a half sister, Leona Collins.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Fairlawn Mausoleum, with Pastor Westin Unruh presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
