Betty L. (Jones) Kaegi, 92, of South Hutchinson, died March 2, 2023, at Diversicare, in Hutchinson. She was born June 20, 1930, in Hutchinson, to Lloyd T. and Mabel C. (Smith) Jones.

Betty graduated from Burrton High School in 1948. She attended Crossroads Christian Church. Betty had a passion for teaching children Sunday School. She taught it for over 51 years. Betty enjoyed yard work and gardening. She planted a variety of plants, including: tomatoes, okra, and flowers.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

On June 20, 1951, she married Stuart Eugene Kaegi, in Wichita, KS. They shared over 63 years of marriage before his passing on September 12, 2014.

Betty is survived by: sons, Mike (Sheila) Kaegi, South Hutchinson, Tim (Marsha) Kaegi, rural Burrton, Mark Kaegi, South Hutchinson, and Clayton "Bud" Kaegi, rural Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Schrag, Overland Park; and brother, John Jones, Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, and sisters, Nita House and Shirley Jones.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, at Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge, with Pastor Kevin Guffey officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
