Keeler

Betty Jean Keeler, 90, died October 26, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born August 24, 1930, in Stafford, to John Park and Minnie Hollis (Bemis) Smith, Jr.
Betty graduated from Stafford High School and attended Hutchinson Community Junior College. She retired from the Dillons Bakery, after 20 years of service. Betty enjoyed reading, flowers, and playing Pitch, Solitaire, and Phase 10. Her favorite card game though was Bridge; Betty was an avid Bridge player, and enjoyed the friendly competition and friendship. She was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ, Hutchinson. Betty always felt blessed, but she was also a blessing to many others with her warmth, love, and hugs.
On June 25, 1950, she married Lloyd 'Allan' Keeler in Hutchinson. They shared 47 years of marriage before his death on November 13, 1997.
Betty is survived by: children: Karen Crain (Jim) of Argyle, TX, Kenneth Keeler (Jackie) of Oklahoma City, OK, and Kimberly Gustafson (David) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Benjamin Crain (Rachel), Kristin Cumbie (Jeff), Kendall Keeler, Kyleigh Geary (Justin), Katie Collins (Mike), and Brody Gustafson (Katy); great-grandchildren, Colton, Hudson, Leighton, Makiah, Nevaeh, Carter, Cason, Morgandi, Corinne, Nora, Park, and Guy; sister, Donna Kay Swanson (Jerry) of Loveland, CO; and sister-in-law, Glenda (Smith) Giles of Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John P. Smith III.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum, Hutchinson, with David Tappe and Jim Crain officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
