Obituary

Betty M. Larsen, 93, died March 11, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Newton, to Theodore and Pansy (Jones) Stryker.

She was a homemaker most of her life, doting on her children and grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Betty worked at Kansas Brace and Limb for 10 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her card groups and coffee groups for many years where she could spend time with all her friends. Betty was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church.

She married Eston S. "Bud" Larsen on Aug. 8, 1941, in Newton. He died Sept. 15, 2005. Survivors include: daughters, Beverly Fast and husband George, Diane Caffrey and husband Ron, all of Hutchinson, Patty Scott and husband John of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Greg Fast (Carlye), Ryan Fast (Stefanie), Kristi Reinertsen (David), John Patrick Scott, Corey Caffrey, Michael Caffrey (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Aaron, Brett, Reese, Grant, and Dayle Fast, Dylan, Peyton, and Parker Reinertsen, Claire and Finn Caffrey; step-grandchildren, Chelsea, Katelin, Michael, and Meghan Morey; sister, Alma Benton; brothers, Ted and Jim Stryker. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Jerry Larsen; and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eldon Smith presiding. Burial will be in the Burrton Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.

Betty was loved and adored by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
