Betty J. Luman, 85, died April 13, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Enid, Okla., to Glenn and Goldie Percy Hoyt.

She married Raymond E. Luman on Dec. 16, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kan. He died Aug. 2, 1968. Betty was a homemaker and mother until her kids were raised and then she did work as a CNA and a CMA at several nursing homes until her retirement. In recent years, she became a resident at Pleasant View Home in Inman. Survivors include: sons, Ken Luman and wife Pat of El Dorado, Duane Luman and wife Elizabeth of Hutchinson, Charlie Luman and wife Lori of Wichita; daughter, Janet Hawkins and husband Cliff of Aroda, Va.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughter, Carol Luman; and four brothers.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial to follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
