Betty I. Parker's Obituary
Betty Irene Parker, 77, died Jan. 29, 2006, at Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa.
She was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Cullison, the daughter of LaVergne and Edith Jenkins Johnson. She graduated from Cullison High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church.
On May 9, 1948, she married Austin Dwane Parker in Pratt. He died Aug. 27, 2003.
Survivors include: a daughter, Valjean Parker Schroll and her husband, Dr. John Theodore, Overland Park; a stepson, George Dwane Albright and his wife, Marsha, Mason City, Iowa; a sister, Lois Neighbors, Oklahoma; a grandson, Matthew Jarod Schroll, Overland Park; a stepgrandson, Aaron Albright, Jacksonville, Fla.; and a step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Albright, Lynchburg, Va.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Bellot, Camille Randall and Joy Leak.
Funeral will be at noon Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Nick Warner presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Iuka Cemetery.
