Betty Lou Hilbert Ratzlaff, 81, died November 30, 2013, at Buhler Sunshine Meadows, retirement home. She was born January 4, 1932, in Earlsboro, OK, to Orville and Evelyn (Litton) Hilbert.
She graduated from Burrton High School in 1949, and then married George H. Ratzlaff on January 26, 1951, in Burrton, KS.
Betty retired in 1992, from South Central Kansas Library System after almost 20 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Kansas Muzzleloading Association.
Survivors include: her husband George H. Ratzlaff, Buhler Sunshine Meadows retirement home, Buhler, KS; daughters, Debra Hagen and husband Ron, Hutchinson, KS, and Cheryl Webster and husband Ritchie, Greensburg, KS; several step children, three grandchildren, Jubal Webster, Coldwater, KS, Shannon Webster, Greensburg, KS, and Jennifer Hagen, of Buhler, KS; two step-grandchildren, John Webster, and Dana Webster, both of Seattle, WA; two great-grandsons, James Bether, and Matthew Alstatt; numerous step grandchildren, numerous step great grandchildren, one great great grandson,one niece; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Ratzlaff, two sisters, Dorothy Price and Ella Mae Cutting, and a grandson, Jason Bether.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Michael McGuire presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
