Betty J. Reeves' Obituary
Betty J. Reeves, 94, of Hutchinson, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born July 18, 1921, in Pretty Prairie, to Perry and Corine (Abbott) Santee.
Betty graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1939. She was a homemaker, and was employed as an office assistant at First Baptist Church and Emprise Bank of Hutchinson, and Kansas Motor Carriers of Topeka.
On May 29, 1942, she married Harold E. Reeves in Hutchinson. He died July 25, 1990. Betty is survived by: son, James Reeves and wife Barbara of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Susan Livengood and husband Steve of Valley Center; granddaughters, Lori Livengood of McPherson, Kari Ames and husband Corey of Maize, Caitlin Reeves of Atlanta, Ga., Amelia Reeves of New Orleans, La.; great-grandchildren, Mea, Andrew, Lea, and Evan Ames of Maize. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gwendolyn Santee.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Tim Schellenberg officiating. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
