Obituary

Betty J. Rueb, 83, died Sunday, May 15, 2011. She was born May 12, 1928, in Winfield, the daughter of Walter Sr. and Anna Mayo Fuqua.

She was a longtime Kingman resident moving from St. Francis, belonged to Order of Eastern Star, St. Francis, a homemaker and beautician.

On May 3, 1969, she married Lewis R. Rueb in Garden City. He survives.

Other survivors include: her children and their spouses: Susan and Dwane Gingerich, Hutchinson, and Micheal and Michelle Bean, Ginngoog, Phillipines; a brother, Walter Jr. and Wanda Fuqua, Prague, Okla.; two step-daughters, Jackie and Bill Finley, Goodland, and Cindy Schulte, Assaria; six granddaughters; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Dorsana Robertson; and a brother, Roy Fuqua.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks., 67501, with Pastor Ray Kempel officiating. Interment will be in Lyons Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
