Betty I. Tucker, 85, died February 6, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born February 10, 1930, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Cecil W. and Irene F. (Louthan) Shaff.

On October 18, 1952, Betty married Gayle D. Tucker in South Hutchinson. He died March 9, 1992. Betty graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948, and found great joy and fulfillment in being a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: sister, Alta L. Allen of South Hutchinson; nieces, Kathleen Keffer of South Hutchinson, and Robin Allen of Kansas City, KS; nephew, Tracy Allen (Barbie) of South Hutchinson; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and six great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, nephew, Jeffrey Allen, great-nephew, John Michael Allen, and brother-in-law, John W. Allen.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Warren Hett officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
