Obituary

Beulahmae Simmons Diehl, 88, died April 19, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kan.

She was born Jan. 16, 1923, to Marion Wade Simmons and Pearl Archibald Simmons on a farm at Haviland, Kan.

She married Fred H. Diehl on Dec. 7, 1941, at Dodge City, Kan. He died March 2006.

They operated Diehl's Dairy for over 55 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Dodge City. Survivors include: daughter, Rebecca Partridge (Bud) of Hutchinson, Kan.; sisters, JoAnn South of Medical Lake, Wash., and Marilyn Lowe of Etwah, Tenn.; brother, Archie W. Simmons (Shelby) of Portland, Ore.; and sister-in-law, Ella Simmons of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Ty Partridge (Megan) of Royal Oak, Mich., Tandy Bradford (Josh) of Toledo, Ohio, and Tate Partridge (Megan) of Hutchinson, Kan.; and two great-grandchildren, Grant Partridge and Blake Bradford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Jane, in 1964; brothers, Gene Simmons and Marion Jr. Simmons; and brothers-in-law, John E. South and Bill Lowe.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, Kan., with Pastor Wayne Pittman presiding.

There will be a private family burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City, Kan., with a memorial service to follow Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, Dodge City, Kan., with Pastor Clyde Goff presiding.

Memorial contributions can be made to Mennonite Manor, Hospice House or First Christian Church, Dodge City, all in care of the mortuary.
