Beverly Ann Cash, 85, died July 12, 2022, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born November 26, 1936, in Ellsworth, KS to Edgar W. and Irene F. (Wamhoff) Schepmann.
Beverly graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1954, and received her associate degree in secretarial science from Hutchinson Community College. She was a homemaker. Beverly enjoyed working with her hands: crocheting, tatting, knitting, cooking and flower gardening. She shared her talent of crocheting by making blankets for the Delos V. Smith Senior Citizens Center and "Caps for Kids" for The Salvation Army. Beverly enjoyed spending her time painting in various modalities. Since 1946, Beverly was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and had served as the Sunday school teacher for the children of the church.
On August 18, 1957, she married Richard Caldwell Cash. They shared over 61 years of marriage before his death on October 17, 2018.
Beverly is survived by: son, Joel Cash of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Nick Cash of Wichita, Rachel Diepenbrock (AJ) of Phoenix, AZ, and Kyle Shelton of Wichita; great-grandson, Cash Diepenbrock of Phoenix, AZ; close friend, Raymond Davidson of Dallas, TX; two sisters; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Anne Shelton.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A time of remembrance for Beverly's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th Avenue, Hutchinson. Inurnment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Holyrood, KS.
