Beverly L. Way, 82, died May 22, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born February 14, 1932, in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Louis William and Lena Edna (Truitt) Hartman. Beverly graduated from Pratt High School and then Columbia College in 1951. She later graduated Adela Hale and Salt City Business College. Beverly was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary for the Nash-Finch Warehouse. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross.

On August 19, 1958, she married Jerald Lee Way in Roswell, New Mexico. He died Sept. 26, 2012.

Survivors include: a son, Brad Way and wife Brenda of Haysville; two daughters, Sandra Lee Mourn of Hutchinson, and Diane Unruh of Haysville; a stepdaughter, Jan Jay of Nixa, Mo.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a stepson, Steven McDaniel, and a sister, Barbara Hurt.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Monday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.Visitation with the family to greet friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. A private family inurnment will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, at a later date.
