Obituary

Bill Bartlett, 62, died March 19, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born Sept. 24, 1948, in Hutchinson, the son of Wesley C. and Edith Ellen Heaney Bartlett.

He was a 1966 graduate of Hutchinson High School. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, he was a retired journeyman electrician.
He attended First United Methodist Church. Bill belonged to American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, a V.F.W. life member of Bob Campbell Post #1361, and International IBEW and IBEW Local #661. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam.

On Dec. 27, 1988, he married Jeanie S. Gradall in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: sons, Jerry of Stockholm, Sweden, and David of Manhattan; brothers, Wes Bartlett of Hutchinson, Les Bartlett of Topeka, and Ed Bartlett of Haven; and two granddaughters, Emma and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place. Military honors will be conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the mortuary.
