Obituary

PLEVNA - Bill G. Wingert, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Larned, to Loyal Milton and Thelma Hazel Stoltz Wingert. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-47.

On Sept. 24, 1948, he married Eunice "Eilene" Bentley in Hutchinson. She survives.

A member of the Church of Christ in Hutchinson, he was a supervisor at Cessna Hydraulics for more than 20 years. He retired in 1978.

Survivors include: his wife, Eilene Wingert, Plevna; son, Mitchell Wingert, Plevna; three daughters, Verlinda Poor and husband Mike, Hutchinson, Cynthia Wolcott and husband Larry, Hutchinson, and Teresa Rayner and husband Jeff, Rose Hill; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Verlinda Belle Wingert; great-granddaughter, Brandy Ann Farr; and two brothers, Bob and Norman.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Plevna Community Church, with Pastor David Green presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
