Billy W. "Bill" Howes, 51, died March 22, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Sept. 26, 1957, in Stella, Mo., the son of Howard A. and Billie May Seward Howes. He attended school in Pretty Prairie. A resident of Reno County since 1970, he was a laborer and carpenter for Liberty Homes. He enjoyed woodworking and also enjoyed fishing.

On Dec. 27, 1991, he married Rose Lee Brady in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Adrienne Jackson and husband, Stephen, Liverpool, England, Tabitha E. Hill and husband Patrick, and Rita Blackburn and husband, Tracy, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Larry Howes and wife, Kathy, Ed Howes and wife, Linda, Jessee Tracy and wife, Lucy, and Roy Tracy, all of Hutchinson; sisters, Robin Osenbaugh and husband, Melvin, Turon, and Thelma Mendez and husband, Steve, Hutchinson; and three grandchildren, Abbey, Nathan and Reese Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
