Obituary

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Birddella May Hiebert, 86, died June 4, 2008, at her home in South Hutchinson.

She was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Rockford, Ill., daughter of James L. and Esther Hauert Southworth.

She attended South Hutchinson Schools. A resident of South Hutchinson, she was a homemaker. She belonged to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. She was a member of T.E.C.K. Sewing Club.

On April 11, 1941, she married Peter Hiebert in South Hutchinson. He preceded her in death April 28, 1998.

Survivors include: sons, Dwain and wife Janice, Hutchinson, Peter J. and wife Lesley, Partridge; daughters, Patricia Woodruff and husband John, South Hutchinson, Priscila Franz and husband Pete, Hutchinson; brother, Jim D. Southworth, Hutchinson; sisters, Katherine Black, Hutchinson, Helen Pickerill, Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren, Shelly Hiebert, Paula Lundmark, Lisa Smalling, Nicki Hiebert, Julie Warrington, Todd Warrington, Thomas Warrington, Marcia Meadows, Michelle Woodruff, Steven Hiebert and Cameron Hiebert; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Earl Southworth, and sister, Vivian Wroe.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Tim Ault-Duell presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas or South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, in care of the mortuary.
