Blanche C. Kenyon, 83, passed away July 13, 2015, at Thorne Care, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, after a short illness. Blanche was born Dec. 2, 1931, in Montrose, Mo., to C.K. and Marie Hunt.
Blanche was a Hutchinson resident all her life, graduating from Hutchinson High School and working 15 years as a manager at El Cap Credit Union. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her family at Wilson and Kanopolis Lakes in her spare time.
On Jan. 1, 1950, she married Donald J. Kenyon in Hutchinson. She had 65 years with the man of her life. Survivors include: her husband, Donald of Hutchinson; sons, Rick Kenyon and wife Marty, and John Kenyon, all of Hutchinson; daughter, Valorie South-Emmerich of Florida; grandchildren, Justin, Cody and Taylor Kenyon, Zachery South, Joe Emmerich; brother, Floyd "Bud" Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Walter J. Kenyon; infant daughter, Jenea Kenyon; and sister, Alva Shortes.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
