ABBYVILLE - Bobbie Ray Jones, 83, died October 7, 2010. He was born December 2, 1926, in Hutchinson, the son of Joseph and Olive McLean Jones. Bobbie was raised by George and Mayree Cade.

He was a 1946 graduate of Abbyville High School, member of Abbyville Community Church, Navy veteran, farmer, rancher and heavy equipment operator. Rodeoing was his favorite pastime.

On December 17, 1948, he married Wanda Mae Fesler at Lyons. She survives.

He is also survived by four daughters and their spouses: Peggy Jones, Hutchinson, Janice and Steve Kraft, Betty and Kevin Davis, Patricia and Scott Fry, all of Abbyville; one brother, J.D. Jones, Texas; and a nephew, Kelvin O'Brien, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Jones, parents and adoptive parents, brothers Hartzell, Billie Joe and Glen Jones, Bill Cade & Merlin Jackson a sister, Thelma O'Brien, and a nephew, Conroy O'Brien.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at the Abbyville Community Center with Pastor Keith Dellenbach officiating. Burial will be in the Abbyville Cemetery. Friends may call 1 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
