Bonita "Bonnie" M. McClelland, 69, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 24, 2008, after a lengthy illness.

She was born the daughter of Harlan Oren Wood and Iona Helen Valette Wood on Feb. 2, 1939, in Stockton.

Bonnie lived and settled in Hutchinson, but also had lived in Missouri and Illinois.

She graduated from Memphis High School, Memphis, Mo., in 1957.

Bonnie worked in retail sales at Sears until retiring in January 2008.

Survivors include: daughter, Susan Grindley and Charles, Hutchinson; son, Robert Leslie and Nichole, Springfield, Mo.; sister, Kay Pate and Phillip, Hutchinson; brother, William Lancaster, Raytown, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Rue and Jared Phillips, Hutchinson, Briawna and Elijah Leslie, Springfield, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren, Brentley Anderson, Kortinzea and Nevaeh Rue, Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 29, 2008, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

The family requests memorials to be made to Mennonite Manor or Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the mortuary.
