Bonnie Leora Evitt, 87, died Aug. 27, 2013, at Sunshine Meadows Nursing Home, Buhler, Kan. She was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Joplin, Mo., to Clarence and Verda Jeanette Webster Shelton.

She was a machinist at Cessna. Bonnie loved to cook and bake for her children and grandchildren.

On May 14, 1965, she married Billy Gene Evitt in Miami, Okla. He died Aug. 30, 2008.

Survivors include: children, Larry Bilbrey and wife Bert of Ames, Iowa, Donna Smith and husband Duke of Wisconsin Dells, Wis., Gary Bilbrey and wife Ginny of Mesa, Ariz., Linda Thoren of Ankeny, Iowa, Connie Navarro and husband Steve of Hutchinson, Kan.; sister-in-law, Joyce Shelton of Great Bend, Kan.; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Withington; grandson, Greg Adams; granddaughter, Jessica Garcia; great-granddaughter, Aubrianna Garcia; brother, Raymond Shelton; and son-in-law, John Thoren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bill Eichelberger presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday with the family to receive friends at 1 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel.
