Bonnie Kathleen McDowell, 79, died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born February 22, 1937, at Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil and Helen Winifred (Smith) McIntyre.

She was a 1955 graduate of Manhattan High School. Bonnie had been a bookkeeper for many years in Manhattan and home health caregiver for TECH, Hutchinson, for 19 years.

Survivors include: her children, Beth McKibben and husband Mark of Hutchinson, John Roberts of Manhattan; a sister, Myrna Kay Padgett of Manhattan; a brother, Jim McIntyre of Virginia; four granddaughters, Sarah Lindsey and husband, Mike Day, Margaret McKibben, Jessica Roberts and Jamia Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marie Estepp, and a niece.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Gary Getting presiding. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Ashland Bottoms Cemetery, Manhattan. Her register book will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
