Obituary

Brenda Kay Adamson, 72, passed away October 26, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born March 4, 1949, in Larned, to Maurice and Wanita (Pinkston) Wyman.

Brenda graduated from Hutchinson High School and Salt City Business College.  She was employed for over 30 years at DJ Liquor Store, formerly Rayl's Liquor Store.  Brenda was also employed at Rayl's Car Wash, then later became the owner and operator of Kay C's Car Wash for over 10 years.

She enjoyed taking care of her flower garden and attending concerts, no matter the genre of music.  Brenda enjoyed working and was a dedicated and hard worker her entire life.

She is survived by:  daughters, Letitia 'Tish' (Greg) Flores of Hutchinson, Bridget (Gary) Blevins of Joplin, MO, and Wendy (Michael) Brown of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brishna Flores, Gregory Flores, Antonio Flores, Alexis Flores, Cody (Alisha) Pattinson, Chyanne (Brett) Newton, Julio (Kyla) Cantu, Kalib (Ceanna) Blevins, Tanner Brown, and Tatum Brown; six great-grandchildren; and Yorkie fur baby, Sophie Jo.

Brenda was preceded in death by:  her parents; son, Adrian Meeker; and one sister.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021, and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hutchinson Animal Shelter or Hospice House, Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
