Brenda Kay Jensen, 72, of Hutchinson, KS, died July 1, 2025, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born March 22, 1953, in Hutchinson, to John T. and R. Byrdene (Adams) Perkins.

Brenda graduated from Central Christian High School. She worked in food service for many years and was kitchen manager at Golden Plains Health Care Center and Dillon Living Center before she retired. Brenda loved watching cooking shows and Christmas movies year-round. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.

On January 5, 1976, she married Lloyd Jensen Jr. in Hutchinson. He died July 24, 2001.

Brenda is survived by: her daughter-in-law, Michelle Jensen; grandsons, Jonathan Jensen and fiancé Holli Wyatt, Dylan Jensen and partner Jaden Whitaker, Braeden Jensen, Camden Jensen, Payten Jensen; great-grandson, Zephyr Whitaker; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Lloyd Jensen III; siblings, Delaine Perkins, Sheldon Perkins, Delwin Perkins, Carolyn Wilk, and Mary Jo Trejo.

Cremation has taken place and private family graveside service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may sign her memorial book between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
