Brenda K. Miller's Obituary
Brenda Kay Miller, 49, died Nov. 29, 2007, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of Robert G. and Gerry M. Van Der Leest Rietveld. She was a 1976 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a 1986, graduate of Hutchinson Community College School of Nursing. A resident of Hutchinson for most of her life, she was a registered nurse and the clinical coordinator for Hutchinson Heart and Vascular Cath. Lab at the Hutchinson Hospital.
She belonged to Northminster Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and served as the parish nurse.
On Nov. 23, 1985, she married Randall S. Miller in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jake, Manhattan; a daughter, Nicole Miller, Hutchinson; two stepchildren, Chris Miller, Overland Park, and Kelli Rader, Hutchinson; her parents, Hutchinson; a sister, Ann Collins, Shawnee; six grandchildren; a nephew; and two nieces.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Skip Johnson and Chaplain Luanne Haddaway presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Brenda Kay Miller Hutchison Hospital Nursing Scholarship, in care of the mortuary.
