Brenda Jean Russell, 67, passed away August 20, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born August 16, 1955, in Guymon, OK, to Curtis Franklin Sage and Edith Maxine (McKnight) Sage.

Brenda graduated from Nickerson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, and camping.  Brenda could build and make just about anything.  She especially liked to travel, even if it was only a day trip.

Brenda did work outside the home, but her most treasured occupation was being a homemaker.  Family was important, especially the children and grandchildren.  She thoroughly loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.

On June 5, 1976, Brenda married Ronald 'Ron' Thomas Russell.  They shared over 46 years of marriage.

She is survived by: her husband, Ron Russell of South Hutchinson; children, Todd Russell and wife Deborah of Davenport, IA, and Cindy Teater and husband Thomas of South Hutchinson; grandchildren, Cody Teater, Ashley Teater, and Grant Russell; brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled at a future date.  Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
