Brenda Joy Young, 58, died peacefully, with her husband, Myron, by her side, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1962, in Phoenix, AZ, to Harvey Arthur and Ruth Jeannette (Classen) Ebersole.

Brenda graduated from Central Christian High School and attended Hutchinson Community College.  She was a self-employed artist, working with a variety of art mediums.  Brenda also enjoyed all types of music, ranging from rock to classical.  Riding her Harley-Davidson and going to the lake were two hobbies she looked forward to with her husband and mother.

On October 15, 1993, she married Myron Young in Hutchinson.  They shared over 27 years of marriage.

Brenda is survived by:  husband, Myron of Hutchinson; father, Harvey Ebersole of Peoria, AZ, son, Brian Schmitz (Angel) of Hutchinson; grandson, Harvey Schmitz; sister, Wendy Kitchen (Blaine) of Rochester, MA; brother, Lynn Ebersole of Hutchinson; stepsons, Cole Young (Lisa) of Frisco, TX, Troy Young (Hannah) of Turon; step-grandchildren, Cinch Young, and Lily, Cate, and Anna Young; and extended family, Ronni Baldwin.  Brenda treasured all her relationships, and considered everyone family.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Cremation has taken place.  Private memorial service will be Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, with Blaine Kitchen officiating.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  To view Brenda's funeral service online, the link will be available at the end of her obituary on Elliott Mortuary's website the day of the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
